Greer, SC – The Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) had a significant increase in passenger traffic for the third consecutive month.
GSP is seeing a steady rise in passenger traffic from 140,000 passengers in March to the more than 155,000 passengers in April and now nearly 163,000 passengers in May! That number is up over 48 percent above May 2010 causing this to be the second best May in Airport history. In fact, passenger traffic percentages at the airport have been on the rise since December 2010.
Lower fares and more destinations coupled with the start of summer has heightened passenger traffic and across the board, almost every airline operating out of GSP saw a significant increase in passenger enplanements.
