Date: January 06, 2012
Greer, SC – The Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) is embarking on a tree harvesting project which will clear 94.4 acres on the GSP campus.
As a Certified Tree Farm and Member-In-Good-Standing with the American Tree Farm System, GSP has a responsibility to trim, prune and harvest acreage in order to maintain compliance with the South Carolina Forestry Commission Best Management Practices.
The six week project which began the first week in January will be followed by a replanting of 60,536 loblolly pines late next year.
