The Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport’s new glass facade should be finished and new baggage claims and concessions open within 90 days, GSP airport spokeswoman Rosylin Weston said Wednesday. The 52-year-old airport’s $120 million WINGSPAN project is set to be finished in 2016.
The glass makeover of the terminal’s concrete face and other highly visible renovations being completed include new baggage carousels, curbside canopies to shelter walkways and a new north wing that will serve as temporary offices for airlines as part of a more than 100,000 square foot expansion.
Dunkin Donuts; Flatwood Grill, which is named for the airport’s home community; and RJ Rockers and Thomas Creek Grill are among the new vendors.
