But a new joint-venture at Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport will once again put the downtown-based brewer back on the radar for lovers of tasty pub fare. Taking flight Wednesday is a 48-seat eatery within GSP's Concourse B called RJ Rockers Flight Room.
The cozy, contemporary restaurant is part of a revamp of the airport's concession and retail offerings under its three-part $125 million main terminal renovation, called Project WINGSPAN. The project includes a similar grill featuring the Greenville-based Thomas Creek Brewery that will serve passengers on Concourse A.
“We are so excited about this,” GSP spokeswoman Rosylin Weston said. “It's an opportunity for us to deliver back to our customers something that they've asked for over the last few years — more food options.”
RJ Rockers got its start as a brewpub in 1997 in downtown.
