Airfares at Greenville-Spartanburg International dropped during the first quarter.
A new report by the U.S. Department of Transportation showed the average ticket price at GSP decreased more than 4 percent to $400.78 for the quarter, compared to $417.92 during the same quarter of 2013.
The airport's customers on average paid $32.59 less during the quarter than fliers out of Charlotte Douglas International Airport and $3.80 less than Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport's customers, according to the report.
GSP was 38th out of 100 domestic airports ranked by their itinerary fare in the report. The report showed GSP customers spent $20 more on average than the national domestic average of $380.69.
