The Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport has Largest Passenger Traffic Percent Increase in Airport History
Greer, SC – More flights to great destinations provided a big boost in passenger traffic at The Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) in April.
More than 155,000 passengers traveled through GSP in the month of April causing the 50.33 percent increase in passenger traffic when compared to April 2010. That figure is the greatest percent increase for the month of April in GSP history! There has been a steady increase in passenger traffic at GSP recorded from December 2010 through February 2011 with a boost in March, and now April, from the arrival of Southwest Airlines coupled with a strong competitive response from all the other carriers operating out of GSP.
Traditionally, spring months bring a boost to passenger traffic and across the board, almost every airline operating out of GSP saw a significant increase in passenger enplanements.
