GSP Adds to the Upstate’s Electric Vehicle Fleet

Greer, SC – The Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport District has been allotted an electric Enterprise rental vehicle by General Electric (GE) as part of the City of Greenville’s plan to cut greenhouse gas emissions.
A Nissan Leaf has been allotted to the GSP Airport District for a six month test period by GE in cooperation with Thursopower to see if an electric vehicle (EV) can meet the local business travel needs of the GSP Airport District.
GE chose Greenville to go beyond charging stations for it first high-profile EV Ecosystem. The Greening Greenville EV Ecosystem supports a charging network along with the introduction of vehicles into the marketplace for users to drive, on both a short term basis, and mid-term rentals.
