GSP Airport District Names Its New Senior Vice President-Administration &

Greer, SC—The Greenville-Spartanburg Airport District is excited to announce its new Senior
Vice President-Administration & Finance/CFO, Basil Dosunmu. Dosunmu comes to the Airport
District with 24 years of finance, accounting and auditing experience. In his most recent
position, he served as the Interim Chief Financial Officer for the Metropolitan Nashville Airport
Authority (MNAA).
“As GSP continues to grow, I am confident that Basil will help guide GSP to new heights,” said
GSP Airport District President/CEO Dave Edwards. Dosunmu will officially start work the week of September 25, 2017. He is replacing Jack Murrin, the District’s current CFO who is retiring after 18 years of service.

Basil O. Dosunmu, CPA, CIA, CM


Basil O. Dosunmu was just selected for, and accepted, the Senior Vice President –
Administration and Finance/CFO position at Greenville-Spartanburg Airport District. He
will officially join the organization the week of September 25th, 2017.
Mr. Dosunmu has more than 24 years of accounting and auditing experience with
various industries including state and local government as well as a history as a global
consultant, where he was focused on business processes improvement and exploring
and evaluating new business opportunities.
Mr. Dosunmu rejoined Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (“MNAA”) in May 2015 as
assistant Vice President – Finance and is currently serving as the Interim Chief Financial
Officer with primary responsibility for planning, organizing and directing the financial,
accounting, and treasury activities of MNAA and MNAA Properties Corporation. He was
previously with the MNAA as an Internal Auditor from 2005 to 2011.
Prior to rejoining the Authority, Mr. Dosunmu was with the Department of Human
Services for the State of Tennessee serving first as their Assistant Commissioner of
Finance and Administration and then as their Deputy Commissioner of Finance and
Administration. He also held various positions such as assistant director of accounting
for the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services, assistant controller, senior
financial analyst and staff accountant.
Mr. Dosunmu is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified
Member of American Association of Airport Executives, and previously held Financial
Industry Regulatory Authority, Inc. (FINRA) certifications for Series 7, 24, 27 and 63.
Mr. Dosunmu is a member of the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants
(TSCPA) and the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). He earned a Bachelor of Science
degree in accounting from Rutgers University in Newark, NJ.
